AIGA Reno/Tahoe presents the fourth annual:

 BIG AWESOME STUDENT PORTFOLIO DAY. 

Portfolio day is a chance for you to practice your presentation skills and get valuable feedback from local professionals about your design work and resume in a no-risk environment geared at preparing you for the professional portfolio presentation process.

All students will have the opportunity participate in portfolio reviews with design professionals, a roundtable on how to improve your resume, a Q&A roundtable with industry experts, and receive a professional head shot.

 WHAT TO BRING 

Bring 7-10 pieces of your best work from your portfolio, as well as multiple copies of your resume and business cards. If you plan on showing interactive or rich-media work, please bring a fully-charged laptop or IPAD (or similar device). WiFi will be available.

 THE SCHEDULE 

5:00pm - 5:30pm     Check-in and pick-up name badge, set-up your portfolio

5:30pm - 5:40pm     Welcome and Introductions. Students will be split into 2 groups and switch after 1 hr

5:45pm - 6pm     Group 1 - Portfolio Review

6pm - 6:15pm     Group 2 - Break Out Sessions: Head Shots, Resume 101 & Professional Q&A

6:15pm - 6:30pm     Group 1 - Break Out Sessions: Head Shots, Resume 101 & Professional Q&A

6:30pm - 6:45pm     Group 2 - Portfolio Review

6:45pm - 7:00pm     Closing Remarks & Award Announcement
